
The most expected event of the year for startups took place in Barcelona February 25 to 27, framed in the Mobile World Congress. Four Years From Now (4YFN) is the startup business platform that enables startups, investors and companies to connect and launch new business ventures together. Our RobotUnion startups enjoyed the ecosystem during the three days of activities and networking focused on technology and innovation.
The event started with the workshop on how to rock the robotics world held at the Mint Studio of 4YFN, was attended by startups, who explained their projects. The objective was to know how different technologies related to automation in the field of robotics are being developed. The startups Faromatics, Tecnalia, Somnox, Eliport, and Botsandus also gave some advice to be attractive for investors and get into acceleration programs.
After the workshop, the startups enjoyed a breakfast on the stand of European Projects while talking about the different ideas and impressions. 4YFN offers startups to understand the innovation environment in which they will develop their work, as well as expanding their network. In addition, it offers them the opportunity to exchange point of view with professionals from different countries and with a variety of projects.
In fact, it is a way of advancing ideas and getting projects to have a real impact on society, that’s why we celebrated the Robotics Pannel about the future of the robotics sector. The event was held at the Mobile World Capital stand and was attended by Pepa Sedó, from Eurecat; Nacho de Pinedo, CEO and founder of ISDI; Sanne E. Vinderslev, Consultant at Invest in Odense, Merete Nørby responsible for the international activities at Manufacturing Academy of Denmark. The discussion focused on deepening the advantages and risks of the robotics sector in the present and future.
After 4YFN, RobotUnion started its open second call to select 20 startups that will be financed with up to € 223,000 in cash plus acceleration services. The 20 startups will receive € 3,800 each equity free in cash and mentoring services in the first 2-month Feasibility Plan stage. The top 10 performers will enter the product acceleration program and will receive up to € 120,000. 8 Startups selected from the previous phase will enter the intensive 4-month Business Acceleration program finishing with a selection of the 4 best startups which will receive up to € 100,000 in the final Investment phase. In total, Startups can receive up to € 223,000 in cash plus services.
